Inventory Specialist (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: U.S. citizenship is required because the role requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

What you will do

• Track, receive, identify, document, ship, and issue inbound and outbound inventory.
• Maintain alignment between physical inventory and ERP system quantities and locations.
• Own cycle counting, physical audits, discrepancy reconciliation, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve inventory variances.
• Support daily production kitting and supply the production floor according to the monthly production plan.
• Optimize storage locations, material flow, inventory control, and data accuracy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in material management, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
• Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reconciliation, plus proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience handling hazardous materials and physical materials up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a hands-on, self-motivated approach.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience improving inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with structured cycle count and audit-readiness programs.
• Experience with production kitting and material-flow optimization.
• APICS or another supply chain or operations certification.
