Inventory Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: On-site at the Redwood Shores facility

Salary: Starting at $27/hour; offers may be adjusted based on experience and market rates.

hirify.global Systems designs, manufactures, and operates long-duration smart weather balloons that collect atmospheric data to improve weather forecasting.

What you will do

• Maintain accurate inventory records for electronic components, sensors, balloon materials, and manufacturing supplies.
• Plan cycle counts and physical inventories, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile records in inventory, ERP, and order-management systems.
• Maintain bills of materials, part records, lot and serial traceability, and organized stockroom storage.
• Receive inbound shipments, verify contents, inspect for damage, and process parts into inventory.
• Pick, kit, stage, and replenish materials for production and assembly schedules.
• Pack and ship outbound hardware, manage labels and carriers, process returns and transfers, and follow ESD, safety, barcode, and 5S procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, stockroom, or shipping and receiving, preferably in manufacturing or hardware.
• Accuracy with inventory records and experience reconciling physical counts against a system of record.
• Experience with inventory, ERP, or order-management software, plus spreadsheet skills, basic math, and computer literacy.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and follow-through.
• Comfort operating or willingness to become certified on forklifts and pallet jacks; ability to repeatedly lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Current forklift certification or OSHA safety training.
• Experience with electronic components, sensors, engineered materials, or ESD-safe handling.
• Familiarity with BOMs, kitting, lot and serial traceability, barcode or RF scanning systems, and shipping platforms.
• Interest in hardware, aerospace, climate, or weather technology.
