Inventory Specialist II (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; on-site weekend shift, Friday through Monday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT

Salary: $23.38–$35.06 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential and 8 guaranteed overtime hours per week

What you will do

• Execute receiving, putaway, picking, issuance, and return transactions in ERP/MES systems with greater than 99.9% record accuracy.
• Run the daily cycle count program, investigate discrepancies, document root causes, and escalate material variances.
• Verify part numbers, revisions, quantities, condition, and shelf life before incoming material enters production inventory.
• Pick and kit parts and hardware for production while applying FIFO and verifying serialized flight hardware against build records.
• Handle materials according to aerospace FOD, ESD, contamination-control, 5S, and ITAR requirements.
• Coordinate with production and supply chain stakeholders on ETAs, supply risks, shift handoffs, and inventory-control improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in inventory, logistics, receiving, or material handling.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience and the ability to obtain and maintain OSHA-compliant certification.
• Experience using ERP and warehouse management software with complete, accurate audit trails.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication.
• Valid driver's license; ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability for non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekend work is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, launch services, or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Experience building or improving cycle count and inventory-control procedures.
• Familiarity with flight hardware, lot and serial traceability, ESD/FOD prevention, and 5S.
• Experience with Jira or Confluence.
