Sr. Controls Technician (HVAC Controls)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; customer-site and office collaboration required

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, test, troubleshoot, and service assigned HVAC controls projects.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and direct digital control systems at customer locations while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on building layouts, installation requirements, materials, and on-site repairs.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane products, installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair procedures.
• Follow strict safety standards and remain flexible for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent qualification, or certificate from an accredited technical school.
• Typically at least 7 years of experience in HVAC or controls; technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
• Previous experience with direct digital control systems is preferred.
