Technician, Engineering I (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Provide technical support for industrial automation and control systems used in manufacturing.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve PLCs, HMIs, sensors, instrumentation, and related equipment.
• Support equipment and process design, validation, installation, start-up, and commissioning.
• Use PLC diagnostics, HMI data, electrical drawings, and technical documentation to resolve equipment issues and prevent production downtime.
• Maintain monitoring logs, operating procedures, training manuals, and other regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with operations, engineers, project teams, management, consultants, contractors, and production personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification is preferred.
• At least five years of technical experience in a relevant specialty.
• Working knowledge of PLC-based control systems, preferably Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation or Siemens.
• Basic understanding of PC hardware, Windows operating systems, and industrial network communications.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment using PLC diagnostics, HMI information, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of basic regulatory and safety requirements.
