Controls Engineer Technician (PLC/SCADA)

Location: Greenville, South Carolina; on-site 5 days per week. Schedule is 4 days per week from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with potential overtime on Fridays.

What you will do

• Diagnose and resolve electrical, software, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic issues involving PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Develop, modify, test, and document PLC, HMI, SCADA, and embedded control applications.
• Install, calibrate, test, and commission new controls, instrumentation, automated equipment, processes, and upgrades.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, mechanical layouts, pneumatic diagrams, P&IDs, and bills of materials.
• Perform root cause analysis, improve system reliability and performance, and support maintenance and engineering projects.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations teams while coordinating with vendors and suppliers.

Requirements

• Associate degree in applied sciences or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on electrical experience, including Allen-Bradley PLC programming, hardware, and equipment troubleshooting.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and ladder logic.
• Strong analytical, technical, planning, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently and communicate with all organizational levels.
