MSL/Senior MSL, Gastroenterology (Washington, DC area)

Location: Must live in or be willing to self-relocate within the territory covering Washington, DC, Maryland, or Delaware; field-based role with up to 75% travel.

Salary: $124,500–$236,500 per year, plus benefits and eligibility for long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, thought leaders, academic centers, researchers, and clinical institutions in the assigned gastroenterology territory.
• Present scientific information on disease states, therapeutic landscapes, and products across the product lifecycle.
• Support research activities including site evaluation, investigator recruitment, investigator meetings, expert identification, and external collaboration management.
• Answer unsolicited medical questions and provide clinically relevant scientific information to healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, commercial teams, and other internal partners on account planning and scientific initiatives.
• Deliver ongoing medical, scientific, and technical training while maintaining compliant documentation and assigned expense budgets.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline, such as PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, Physician Associate, or Nurse Practitioner; doctorate strongly preferred.
• Senior MSL candidates typically need at least 3 years of relevant experience; MSL candidates typically need 0–2 years.
• Ability to analyze and translate territory and corporate needs into medical and business objectives.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, teaching, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software tools.
• Must meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and proof of immunization or vaccination.
