Water Resources Engineer III

Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, or Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: Starting at $80,000 per year; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and licensing status.

What you will do

• Support flood control projects involving levee systems, pump stations, dams, and related infrastructure.
• Assist with stormwater infrastructure design and technical studies.
• Conduct field investigations and prepare H&H models, reports, specifications, permit applications, and contract drawings.
• Research regulatory and permitting requirements and support cost estimating.
• Provide construction administration and coordinate with clients, regulators, contractors, and project teams.
• Attend client and public meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required; a focus on water resources is preferred.
• EIT certification is required; PE licensure is a plus.
• 3–7 years of experience in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with H&H experience highly desired.
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving, communication, and independent working skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D is required.
• Experience with GIS, Hydraflow, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, FEMA maps, studies, and flood regulations is desired or advantageous.
