GIS Engineer (Mid)

Location: Bolling AFB, Washington, DC; Joint Base Anacostia, Arlington, VA; or Reston, VA. Onsite work in secure environments. U.S. Citizenship and an active U.S. Government security clearance are required.

Salary: $83,000–$139,000 annually for the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and develop geospatial solutions and product specifications for infrastructure, hydrographic, and physiographic features.
• Perform GIS analyses on natural resources data and support intelligence requirements.
• Plan, design, develop, document, and analyze spatial and relational databases.
• Apply GIS software to manage spatial and tabular data and build databases from map information.
• Produce computer map products and locate relevant GIS data sources.
• Help integrate and sustain secure technical capabilities supporting high-volume analysis and mission operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field and 4–7 years of experience.
• Experience with GIS software and spatial data analysis.
• Experience developing geospatial applications and performing complex GIS analyses.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active Top Secret clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI Polygraph is required.
• Work must be performed at a listed U.S. secure work location.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with system integration and database management.
• Relevant technical or project management certifications.
• Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.
