GIS Engineer (Jr)

Location: Onsite in Bolling AFB, DC, Joint Base Anacostia, Arlington, VA, or Reston, VA. U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph are required.

Salary: $67,000–$111,000 annually for the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and develop geospatial solutions and product specifications for infrastructure, hydrographic, and physiographic features.
• Perform GIS analyses on natural resources data and support intelligence requirements.
• Plan, design, develop, document, and analyze spatial and relational databases.
• Manage spatial and tabular data, capture map information using coordinate digitizers, and build GIS databases.
• Produce computer map products and locate relevant GIS data sources.
• Help build, integrate, and sustain secure technical capabilities for high-volume analysis and mission operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field.
• 0–3 years of professional experience.
• Experience with GIS software and spatial data analysis.
• Experience developing geospatial applications and performing complex GIS analyses.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph are required.
• Work must be performed in secure environments at the stated U.S. locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with system integration and database management.
• Relevant technical or project management certifications.
• Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.
