Civil Project Manager

Salary: $92,000 per year; final compensation depends on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.

What you will do

• Oversee civil engineering design for municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects, including site design and permitting.
• Design and manage drainage, detention and treatment systems, water and wastewater infrastructure, roads, parking areas, pedestrian facilities, and stream crossings.
• Develop project plans and coordinate managers and technical personnel throughout project delivery.
• Manage project resources, budgets, schedules, documentation, quality, and risk mitigation.
• Communicate project status and milestones to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Lead project teams and contribute to marketing and business development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 6–12 years of professional civil engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Technical experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater, site design, and permitting.
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and ability to perform occasional travel and field work.

Nice to have

• Connecticut design and permitting experience.
• Experience in a similar regulatory environment.
• Prior project management or management experience.
