Electromechanical Assembler (Manufacturing)

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States of America; onsite plant environment

Salary: $29–$35 per hour

What you will do

• Build, test, and debug custom electromechanical materials testing systems and accessories.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, electrical schematics, and verbal instructions.
• Modify components with hand and power tools and identify non-conforming materials.
• Provide hands-on technical support, assist with employee training, and offer technical leadership during assembly.
• Collaborate with production planning, purchasing, assembly, engineering, and management to deliver projects on time.
• Suggest design improvements and participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of electromechanical assembly or similar experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform complex electrical wiring from engineering drawings and schematics and troubleshoot systems using test and calibration equipment.
• Knowledge of machine shop practices, mechanical fits and tolerances, blueprint reading, and precision assembly.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, soldering irons, cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in a technical field.
