Market Sales Manager

Salary: $62,681–$104,467 per year.

What you will do

• Manage multiple sales managers and oversee their development, performance, and results.
• Develop market-level sales plans and forecasts while managing performance against designated budgets.
• Support marketing programs including door-to-door, direct mail, inside, and outside sales.
• Build prospective-customer lead lists, assist with closing sales, and resolve customer complaints and cancellation requests.
• Train sales personnel in customer service, selling techniques, and safety procedures.
• Establish performance standards, track sales efficiency, and manage recruiting, staffing, evaluations, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years of related experience in lawn, horticulture, or agronomic work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–4 years of supervisory experience and 2–3 years of outside sales experience.
• Proven ability to lead sales teams and manage managers.
• Knowledge of customer and market dynamics, sales performance measurement, and business reporting.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills are required.
