CD &A; Data Scientist, Obesity - Senior Associate (Data Science)

Location: Hybrid in Thousand Oaks, California, United States; three days per week on-site required.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance commercial analytics and data science solutions for forecasting, patient and market segmentation, and performance measurement.
• Apply statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to large commercial datasets, including exploratory analysis, feature engineering, and model validation.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and work with cloud-based analytics environments and curated enterprise data assets.
• Support repeatable analytics workflows, model deployment processes, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau or Spotfire.
• Translate business questions from marketing, forecasting, insights, and leadership teams into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional CD&A partners while maintaining data governance, compliance, and documentation standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree, or a bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, an associate's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R, with strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning concepts.
• Ability to synthesize complex analyses into clear, business-focused insights and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work on-site in Thousand Oaks three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau, Spotfire, or similar visualization tools.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Azure, AWS, or other cloud analytics platforms.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or commercial analytics.
• Experience collaborating in a matrixed organization.
