Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Remote within the United States; travel 1–20% within the US

What you will do

• Design, develop, and validate predictive models and advanced machine learning algorithms for a Clinical Decision Support Platform.
• Explore complex, high-dimensional healthcare datasets, including electronic health records, claims, billing, purchase order, and invoice data.
• Translate prototypes into products, services, and features with developers and product engineers.
• Analyze requirements, design production solutions, and develop features for product backlogs.
• Conduct experiments, generate and test hypotheses, and interpret analytical results.
• Share data science practices through presentations, mentoring, training, and collaboration with clinicians, engineers, clients, and leadership.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge of statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, programming, data modeling, and advanced mathematics.
• Experience with SQL, R and/or Python and related data science and machine learning libraries.
• Ability to analyze large-scale datasets and apply the data science lifecycle to generate insights and perform causal inference.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and travel 1–20% within the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud computing environments.
• Software development experience in an agile environment.
• Experience with workflow tools such as Luigi or Airflow.
• Healthcare research experience with large patient datasets.
• Master’s degree in statistics, bioinformatics, mathematics, public health, data science, economics, engineering, physics, or a related empirical field.
