Salary: $161,700–$199,400 annual base salary in California; $153,615–$189,430 annual base salary in Nevada.

What you will do

  • Lead major integration, qualification, development, and acceptance test campaigns for rocket motor and propulsion systems.
  • Define and approve test strategies, architectures, methodologies, and requirements traceability across multiple programs.
  • Oversee test systems, hardware, software, instrumentation, data acquisition, automation, and controls integration.
  • Lead root-cause investigations, technical review boards, anomaly resolution, and post-test data assessments.
  • Represent test engineering in customer, executive, and government reviews, presenting findings, risks, mitigations, and results.
  • Drive standardization, advanced modeling and simulation, continuous improvement, and mentoring across the test organization.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive test engineering experience in propulsion systems, aerospace hardware, or complex electromechanical systems.
  • Recognized subject-matter expertise in propulsion or aerospace test engineering, including large-scale integration and qualification testing.
  • Expertise in data acquisition, instrumentation, controls, automation, environmental and structural testing, including vibration, thermal, and static-fire testing.
  • Advanced programming and analytical skills with C/C++, MATLAB, Python, and Simulink; knowledge of RS-422, RS-485, CAN, and distributed control systems.
  • Deep understanding of MIL-STD practices, aerospace qualification and acceptance testing, systems engineering, configuration management, and requirements traceability.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; applicants must also qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable ITAR and EAR regulations.
