Salary: $86,000–$155,000 USD per year, depending on level and qualifications.

What you will do

  • Serve as a console operator, Test Conductor, and Test Director during hazardous operations and static fire testing of the E-2 LOX/Kerosene engine.
  • Plan and lead operations involving high-pressure systems, cryogenic fluids, and rocket propulsion hardware.
  • Own instrumentation, electrical ground support equipment, data acquisition, and control systems across engine and component test facilities.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, instrumentation calibration records, and calibration equipment inventories.
  • Collaborate with technicians to design, build, test, maintain, and troubleshoot EGSE and test stand systems.
  • Support Test Readiness Reviews and implement improvements to safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience with instrumentation and control systems in operational, design, development, test stand, or industrial environments.
  • Experience with industrial sensors and instrumentation, including strain gauges, IEPE accelerometers, thermocouples, RTDs, and 4–20 mA current loop systems.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, sensor datasheets, equipment manuals, system schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export control regulations or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
  • Ability to work overtime or weekends, adjust working hours to operational needs, and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.

Nice to have

  • Experience with National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW-based data acquisition and control systems.
  • Programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, and SQL, plus Git version control.
  • Experience with high-pressure fluid and gas systems, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience analyzing test data and implementing corrective actions.
