TL;DR
Senior Systems, Integration, and Test Engineer (Aerospace): Owning the integration, testing, launch readiness, and in-orbit operation of in-house W-Series spacecraft with an accent on system-level performance, vehicle design trades, and flight hardware validation. Focus on building automated Python testing tools, resolving conflicting subsystem requirements, and determining spacecraft health during orbital operations.

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. The position requires regular hands-on work with aerospace hardware and physical activities including lifting 25 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing.

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

Company

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing payloads, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses, built and operated in-house.

What you will do

  • Analyze vehicle-level performance metrics including mass, delta-V, power, and data budgets.
  • Manage technical milestones and vehicle change implementation to support on-schedule delivery.
  • Contribute to avionics, propulsion, guidance, schematic, and harness design.
  • Automate system testing and data review with Python, and operate spacecraft in orbit by executing procedures and assessing vehicle health.

Requirements

  • Experience serving as the decision maker for a test campaign and working on complex technical programs.
  • Strong first-principles thinking and technical breadth across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace vehicle subsystems and hands-on experience building aerospace vehicles.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.
  • Ability to work on-site and perform the required physical activities.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GNC and propulsion sensors and actuators, satellite systems engineering, or spacecraft flight testing.
  • Experience owning vehicle-level design trades or test campaigns completed successfully.
  • Experience with C++, Python, aerospace hardware development, production environments, wiring schematics, harness manufacturing, or Unigraphics NX.
  • Technical leadership experience on launch vehicle or satellite development programs.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employees receive flexible PTO and 12 paid holidays.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance with FSA and employer-matched HSA options.
  • Parental leave, family-building support, wellness reimbursement, and One Medical memberships.
