Integration and Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. The position requires regular hands-on work with aerospace hardware, including lifting 25 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing. Applicants must be U.S. persons authorized to work in the United States and permitted to access export-controlled technology without an export license.

Salary: $105,000–$139,466 per year for Engineer I; $119,543–$152,749 per year for Engineer II.

What you will do

• Develop, own, and execute vehicle integration and test campaigns to validate flight readiness.
• Make vehicle technical and programmatic decisions and drive conflicting requirements toward implemented solutions.
• Create and maintain build and test procedures and schedules for flight components, ground support equipment, and software.
• Maintain vehicle system budgets for power, mass, telemetry, and related engineering data.
• Evaluate vehicle change impacts and drive implementation across engineering teams.
• Own avionics systems, schematics, harness design, and vehicle operations in space.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related field, plus at least one year of experience in systems, integration, or test; internships and projects count.
• Hands-on experience building aerospace vehicles and working across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines.
• Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and first-principles thinking skills.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs and work directly with hardware on the production floor.
• U.S. person status and authorization to work in the United States are required because of ITAR-controlled technology.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of aerospace vehicle subsystems, qualification testing, space-environment design, cleanliness, or propulsion systems.
• Experience with project lifecycle management, production environments, flight testing, or spacecraft operations.
• Experience with C++, Python, wiring schematics, harness manufacturing, or Unigraphics NX and similar CAD software.
• Technical leadership experience on launch vehicle or satellite development programs.
