Systems Engineer III - ISR (SIGINT)

Location: Hybrid, located in Folsom, CA or Dayton, OH; the posting also lists Beavercreek, OH and Long Beach, CA. Approximately 10% travel is required for on-site integration and customer meetings.

Salary: $113,068–$196,100 base salary; California pay range: $122,900–$196,100 USD. The position is incentive-plan eligible.

What you will do

• Develop technical requirements, architectures, designs, integrations, and tests for ISR systems.
• Perform technical trade studies and create risk-management and mitigation plans for complex systems.
• Apply systems-engineering rigor to requirements segmentation, flow-down, verification, and validation.
• Contribute to proposals covering technical performance, cost, and schedule.
• Provide technical input to systems-engineering and software-engineering teams on hardware, software, DSP, and architecture decisions.
• Implement, integrate, test, and document SIGINT software and hardware systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science from an accredited university.
• At least four years of engineering experience, including two or more years focused on signal collection and signal-processing systems.
• Experience with software-defined radios, SIGINT systems, wireless communications protocols, and signal-processing algorithm modeling and simulation.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering and a strong understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals related to antennas and receiving systems.
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.
• Must be a U.S. Person and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Current DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with SIGINT direction-finding systems.
• Experience with machine learning in embedded or edge environments.
