Location: Onsite in Arlington, Virginia, requiring at least 5 days in the office. Travel of up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $90,000–$184,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, validation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Analyze distributed combat system architectures spanning hardware, software, and networks.
• Coordinate integration and test activities with program management, cybersecurity, software, hardware, logistics, and test organizations.
• Develop and approve test plans, procedures, and operational methodologies for complex distributed systems.
• Analyze test results, assess compliance with requirements, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support technical reviews, stakeholder briefings, and MBSE artifacts including SysML diagrams and interface models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related STEM field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant systems engineering or integration experience.
• Strong experience with system integration and testing of distributed and tactical systems.
• Experience with requirements traceability, configuration management, and coordinating test execution across functional teams.
• Experience supporting U.S. Navy combat systems integration, testing, or sustainment, including real-time distributed systems, radar systems, and weapon control logic.
• Active Secret U.S. security clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Navy surface warfare systems and tactical applications such as Aegis Weapon System, SSDS, CEC, or Link-16.
• Experience integrating radar, IFF, and weapon systems into automated self-defense architectures.
• Experience with interface control documents, land-based test events, or at-sea Combat System Ship Qualification Trials.
• Experience with trade studies, large-scale DoD software systems, rapid prototyping, experimentation, or capability demonstrations.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering.
