Assistant Manager - Optical

Location: Beaumont, Texas, United States; onsite at the optical store

What you will do

• Oversee daily store operations and support the General Manager with staffing based on store volume.
• Drive profit, sales, budget, and performance goals according to company standards.
• Supervise, coach, and motivate Opticians and Sales Associates while maintaining strong customer service.
• Monitor same-day service through the “Ready When Promised” production board.
• Coordinate with doctors, the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office, including required store reporting.
• Maintain promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising, and assist with recruiting and retaining staff.

Requirements

• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and a sound understanding of store operations.
• Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and build effective associate relationships.
• Strong oral and written communication and exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand financial reports.
• Specific licenses or credentials may be required by state law for certain duties.
