CNC Machinist 1st Class, 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: East Farmingdale, New York, United States; second shift

Salary: $32.08–$37.78 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC equipment, including tool offsets and compensations.
• Proof CNC code supplied by CNC programmers and make minor editorial changes when requested.
• Work with CNC programmers to optimize machining processes.
• Inspect completed work using inspection equipment and adjust processes as needed.
• Calculate and adjust cutting feeds and speeds; sharpen cutting tools and grind form tools.
• Maintain CNC program documentation, productivity, housekeeping, maintenance compliance, and manufacturing records.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of manufacturing or related experience.
• Shop mathematics and trigonometry skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and CNC code.
• Ability to comply with quality, safety, and security-screening requirements, including potential export-control restrictions.
