Sr. CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) (Nuclear)

Salary: $30.00–$33.00 per hour, plus a second-shift premium

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and adjust manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine-shop equipment.
• Manufacture and inspect precision parts and tools using mills, lathes, drill presses, and related equipment.
• Read blueprints, sketches, drawings, and process sheets, applying mathematical and geometrical calculations.
• Write and prove out CNC programs and troubleshoot processes to reduce variability and improve throughput.
• Perform dimensional inspections with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools.
• Verify product quality, follow machine-shop safety procedures, and work overtime or weekends when required.

Requirements

• CNC and manual mill/lathe experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and dimensional inspection results.
• Experience with stainless steels and high-temperature alloys.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility, self-motivation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mazak Turning Centers.
• Thread rolling experience.
• Technical or trade school education.
• PC and lift-truck experience.
