Salary: $131,000–$189,200 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

The Actuation Division designs, manufactures, and supports electro-mechanical actuation products and systems for aerospace, defense, and industrial automation applications.

What you will do

  • Manage an engineering function by setting objectives, planning work, allocating resources, and aligning performance with operational and strategic goals.
  • Lead, develop, and evaluate engineering staff through hiring, training, performance management, motivation, and succession planning.
  • Direct system requirements and specifications across multiple project phases and guide technical decisions affecting engineering and divisional activities.
  • Oversee engineering design, construction, installation, and ongoing support for facilities, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish and improve engineering processes, tools, and standards while managing budgets and project resources.
  • Lead customer communication on technical topics, project progress, and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • 7–10 years of experience in design engineering and/or technical project management.
  • 7–10 years of experience with requirements-based development for safety-critical systems using aerospace guidance such as ARP-4754, DO-254, DO-178, or DO-160.
  • Experience managing professional engineers and engineering operations, including departmental budgeting, resource planning, and process management.
  • Experience with root-cause and corrective-action methods such as 8D, A4, 5-Why, Ishikawa, or equivalent.

Nice to have

  • 7–10 years of experience in the aerospace, defense, or automotive industry.
