Senior Electrical Engineering Manager

Location: East Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite at the Peerless Instrument facility

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of electrical engineers while ensuring high-quality designs.
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-precision VPX circuit cards and design assurance firmware.
• Coordinate architecture, implementation, and integration of FPGA/SoC-based DSP processing across engineering disciplines.
• Manage performance evaluations, promotions, compensation, proposals, and department delivery within budget and schedule.
• Evaluate design tools and drive continuous improvement in electrical and firmware development.
• Expand MBSE modeling capabilities and help troubleshoot multidisciplinary design issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience leading or managing individual contributors.
• At least 10 years of electrical engineering design, development, and testing experience.
• Experience developing, testing, and integrating circuit cards with associated firmware and software.
• Technical expertise in power electronics, circuit design, firmware, and electronic systems.
• Experience with VHDL and Verilog FPGA design, including DSP, plus Git, SourceTree, Jira, and Agile development.
• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required. A BSEE or BSCE is required; an MSEE or MSCE is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience writing Python and C/C++ software.
• Experience with MBSE modeling and multidisciplinary design troubleshooting.
