Machinist - Horizontal CNC Lathes (DMG, Mazak, Doosan) 2nd Shift

Location: Summerville, South Carolina, United States; onsite, 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Hourly pay: $28.70–$41.49, plus an additional shift premium. A sign-on bonus may be available for select candidates.

What you will do

• Set up and operate DMG, Mazak, and Doosan horizontal CNC lathes for precision machining within 0.001-inch tolerances.
• Load materials, set tooling, and adjust machine operations according to job specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience operating horizontal CNC lathes.
• Experience with DMG, Mazak, and/or Doosan controls, including Fanuc or Mazatrol.
• Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code, with basic programming and editing skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Experience in high-precision, low-volume production; familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods is required.
