CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift (Hunt Valve)

Location: Onsite at Hunt Valve Co, Salem, Ohio, United States. Second shift runs Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM, with overtime as required. New-hire training takes place on first shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, for 30–90 days.

Salary: $25–$35 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour second-shift premium.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
• Manufacture valve parts from engineering blueprints and drawing specifications.
• Load CNC programs and make simple edits as needed.
• Work with CNC programmers and supervisors to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
• Operate one or more CNC machines and follow company ethics policies.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience operating CNC or equivalent machinery.
• At least 1 year of experience with Fanuc and/or Okuma controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand engineering requirements.
• Ability to use inspection measuring devices and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods, stand for up to 4 hours continuously, and move around the facility.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds frequently or 50 pounds occasionally during an 8–12 hour shift.
