Research Engineer

Location: Onsite five days a week at Fort Novosel, Alabama; job location listed as Dothan, Alabama.

What you will do

• Support the planning and execution of research experiments and development projects.
• Collect, analyze, and document experimental data, procedures, results, and observations.
• Assist with designing and building prototypes and experimental setups.
• Conduct tests and measurements to evaluate prototype and experimental-system performance.
• Perform literature reviews and track relevant technological developments, regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, propose solutions, and share findings with senior researchers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Python and Linux, with a focus on Raspberry Pi.
• Ability to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the Secret level.
• Experience with patient evacuation testing and research.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week at Fort Novosel, Alabama.
