PET Scientist (Molecular Imaging) (PET/SPECT): Supporting molecular imaging studies in neuroscience clinical trials through PET and SPECT deployment, image acquisition quality, data analysis, and scientific documentation with an accent on heterogeneous imaging sites, medical imaging workflows, and regulated clinical environments. Focus on evaluating imaging facilities, validating large-scale image processing workflows, solving complex technical issues, and advancing scientific outputs.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with neuroradiologists, physicists, scientists, software engineers, and operational specialists on study documentation, scan acquisition, quality control, and image analysis.
  • Evaluate, train, and support PET and SPECT imaging facilities participating in neuroscience clinical trials.
  • Lead deployment of advanced molecular imaging acquisition across heterogeneous imaging sites.
  • Assist with scripting, execution, and validation of large-scale image processing and analysis workflows.
  • Support abstracts, manuscripts, publications, scientific outputs, innovation initiatives, and business development efforts.
  • Maintain departmental standards, follow SOPs, resolve study-related and technical issues, and identify workflow improvements.

Requirements

  • PhD in biomedical engineering, physics, neuroscience, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in molecular imaging, including PET, SPECT, and novel tracers.
  • Strong knowledge of molecular imaging and nuclear medicine physics across imaging vendors.
  • Experience manipulating, processing, and analyzing medical imaging data.
  • Programming experience with MATLAB or Python is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
