Project Launch Manager (Data Center Construction)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States preferred; other locations and remote work may be considered. Approximately 6–10 travel days per month are required, including in-person project launch meetings.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year base salary.

What you will do

• Manage the transition of signed data center deals from lease execution through construction mobilization, typically handling two to three sites at different stages.
• Package deal information, complete handover checks, and track transfer gaps, owners, and resolution dates.
• Prepare and co-lead onsite project launch meetings with client project leads, including briefing materials and action tracking.
• Coordinate preconstruction activities, weekly project calls, design development, schedule and cost reviews, and developer interfaces.
• Maintain action logs, milestone reporting, risk registers, baselines, and open-item documentation.
• Transfer each site to the onsite delivery team at mobilization and contribute to improving handover and reporting standards.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant experience; a degree is not required.
• Experience in data center delivery, preconstruction, development, mission-critical facilities, or comparable complex technical buildings.
• Working knowledge of data center construction and the information required by an incoming delivery team at mobilization.
• Experience with project handover, preconstruction coordination, change control, open-item tracking, and concurrent project management.
• Ability to interpret schedule and cost reviews, manage senior stakeholders, secure commitments, and communicate contract requirements, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with MS Suite and Google Workspace, plus the ability to follow site HSSE policies.
