Project Manager - Data Center, Construction & Commissioning

Location: Downers Grove, Illinois, US; based in the Chicago area. Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates with relevant industry experience. Travel up to 30% is required.

Salary: $112,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of data center and commercial projects from award through commissioning and closeout.
• Manage schedules, resources, logistics, budgets, milestones, forecasting, documentation, and customer commitments.
• Lead internal and customer meetings, site calls, field coordination, and day-to-day project operations.
• Coordinate Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Field Services, contractors, suppliers, and commissioning teams.
• Act as the primary customer-facing leader and manage risks, changes, reporting, and project financial performance.
• Support proposals, bids, pipeline development, market engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading projects, operations, supply chain, logistics, commercial operations, or customer-facing business functions.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects in industrial services, construction, infrastructure, or related environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, financial management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel up to 30% for customer meetings, site visits, project reviews, and commissioning support.
• Preference for candidates located in the Chicago area; remote arrangements may be considered only for highly qualified candidates with relevant industry experience.
