Construction Project Manager

Location: Must reside in or near Metro Detroit or be willing to relocate to the United States; hybrid model with a principally in-person working environment. Frequent regional travel is required, including approximately 20% overnight travel.

Base salary: $130,000–$160,000 annually.

Integrated program management, owner’s representation, and real estate services are provided to corporations and institutional organizations, with a focus on publicly funded programs.

What you will do

• Procure construction and supplemental vendor services required for project execution.
• Coordinate and monitor vendor activities against contractual responsibilities.
• Coordinate client engagement and facilitate decision-making across the program.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and risks while facilitating issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with project management policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with management and support staff at all levels.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an accredited college or university.
• 4–8 years of experience in building, design and construction, project management, architecture or planning, engineering, or construction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and/or Primavera scheduling software.
• Familiarity with BIM.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
• Residence in or near Metro Detroit, or willingness to relocate, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience working for an owner’s facility team or as a consultant.
• Construction cost estimating experience.
• Bilingual Japanese-English or Chinese-English skills may qualify candidates for an exception to the sponsorship requirement.
