Area General Manager - Roanoke VA (HVAC)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia; the role covers Roanoke, Danville, Charleston, and Kingsport. Onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $185,100–$280,665, with incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage annual and long-term P&L performance for the Roanoke commercial sales office.
• Deliver objectives for profit, volume, margins, business mix, and market share.
• Lead customer and district sales management, new customer acquisition, marketing, pricing, and account penetration.
• Build account teams, set quotas, forecast sales, and ensure consistent use of sales tools and systems.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational integrity.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, employee engagement, retention, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of progressive sales management experience.
• Ten or more years of HVAC or related industry experience is preferred.
• Understanding of energy management systems, HVAC systems, temperature controls, or process control management is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions during the previous three years.
