Technician I, Packaging (Manufacturing)

Location: Delano, CA, USA; on-site packaging facility work with rotating and varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs as needed.

Salary: $23.18–$24.21 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, set up, inspect, lubricate, and maintain baggers, printers, CSMAs, weighers, and box formers.
• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance to support equipment uptime and performance.
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Clear bin jams, assist with equipment repairs and improvements, and rebuild rollers by replacing bearings, shafts, and sprockets.
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery, research specifications, and document work requests, work orders, and completed work in the CMMS.
• Collaborate with operators, support their training, and escalate technical or operational issues to the lead or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical degree and at least three years of related production or manufacturing experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and present general business information and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work standing or walking for shifts of up to 12 hours and to work at heights, including climbing ladders or scaffolding above 10 feet.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, grasp, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds above the shoulders or push and pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to continuously use required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, and safety harnesses.
