Maintenance Technician I, Packaging

Location: Delano, California, USA

Salary: $23.18–$24.21 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs on packaging equipment.
• Operate and support baggers, printers, CSMAs, weighers, and box formers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Collaborate with operators to improve equipment uptime and operating efficiency.
• Research equipment specifications and dismantle, reassemble, rebuild, and prepare machinery components such as rollers, bearings, shafts, and sprockets.
• Create work requests and orders in the computerized maintenance management system, document completed work, and respond to bin jams and escalated technical issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical degree and at least three years of related production or manufacturing experience are preferred.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, rotating or varying shifts, and emergency call-outs.
• Ability to stand or walk for shifts of up to 12 hours and perform work involving ladders, scaffolding, heights, bending, kneeling, lifting, and pushing or pulling equipment.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, and safety harnesses.
