Purchasing & Supply Chain Intern (Supply Chain)

Location: Middleburg Heights, Ohio, United States; onsite manufacturing environment. Full-time internship for a 6-month assignment, scheduled for 24–40 hours per week. Applicants must be U.S. persons under applicable ITAR/EAR export control regulations.

What you will do

• Support purchasing, shipping, receiving, inventory, and supply chain improvement projects.
• Develop training materials, onboarding resources, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Build and maintain Power BI and Excel reports, dashboards, metrics, and visual analytics.
• Analyze spend, inventory, supplier performance, purchasing trends, risks, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Support supplier benchmarking, market research, sourcing, quote requests, communications, and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Shipping, Receiving, and Accounting.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of U.S. export control regulations and may be subject to additional security screening.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Power BI, business intelligence tools, or data visualization software.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Interest in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management, manufacturing, operations, or business analytics.
