Project Buyer (Nuclear Manufacturing)

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year

The Nova Machines business unit supplies safety-related fasteners, precision components, bolting tensioning solutions, and construction projects for nuclear markets.

What you will do

• Purchase raw materials, finished goods, commercial materials, and safety-related materials for assigned projects and customer demand requirements.
• Manage purchase orders from initiation through completion, including expediting, delivery tracking, and issue resolution.
• Evaluate bids and suppliers, develop sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier performance.
• Maintain inventory, safety stock, vendor contracts, and just-in-time purchasing processes.
• Build vendor relationships and onboard new suppliers to support long-term supply stability.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, sales, and quality teams while supporting RFQs and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of related experience in manufacturing or supply chain with full-cycle procurement experience.
• Understanding of purchasing processes from demand planning through order fulfillment, including material management and procurement planning.
• Experience evaluating vendors, sourcing materials, and managing supplier performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/MRP systems; Oracle is preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is required; a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain is expected.
• Strong communication, negotiation, prioritization, quality, compliance, and health and safety awareness.

Nice to have

• Fastener industry experience.
• Experience with nuclear industry suppliers or safety-related materials.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications.
