Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Delano, California, USA; onsite second-shift work from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Schedule may vary based on business needs.

Salary: $29.87–$33.06 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, repairs, and improvements on automated food-processing equipment.
• Use thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and ultrasonic technologies to assess machine condition and expected lifespan.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Dismantle and reassemble complex machinery and operate cutting, welding, and fabrication equipment.
• Create and update work orders, document completed work, and submit parts requests in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Train operators and maintenance personnel, research equipment specifications, and escalate technical or operational issues when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical degree and at least three years of related production or manufacturing experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective English communication is required; bilingual ability is preferred.
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts, stand or walk for extended periods, work at heights, climb ladders or scaffolding above 10 feet, and use required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to drive vehicles and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds or push and pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
