Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

Location: Randolph, Minnesota, United States; in-person training may take place at the Le Sueur, Minnesota facility.

Salary: $24.00–$33.00 per hour, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus distributed based on continued success with the team.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on wheel loaders, haul trucks, and other heavy mobile equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automated, and other equipment systems.
• Inspect machinery for defects, wear, and damage; replace or repair components as needed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Document work orders, inspections, and repairs in the CMMS system and help manage spare-parts inventory.
• Follow safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies while participating in safety training and emergency drills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; a technical degree in heavy construction equipment, diesel mechanics, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of heavy mobile equipment maintenance or repair experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems and read technical documentation.
• CMMS and basic computer proficiency for maintenance documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required safety certifications.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, communicate directly, prioritize urgent work, and maintain strong attention to detail.
