Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Delano, California, USA; required shift: 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM

Salary: USD 29.87–33.99 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, repairs, and improvements on industrial equipment in an automated food-processing facility.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and carry out corrective work.
• Use thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and ultrasonic technologies to assess equipment condition and expected lifespan.
• Dismantle and reassemble complex machinery and operate cutting, welding, and fabrication equipment.
• Maintain work orders and document completed work in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Communicate with facility departments, train operators and maintenance personnel, and escalate technical or procedural issues when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical degree and three or more years of related production or manufacturing experience are preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 10 hours, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and work above the shoulders.
• Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding above 10 feet and work at heights.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures including LOTO, fall protection, and hot work controls.
• Availability to work from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM is required.
