Senior Engineering Manager for Self-Serve (Learning)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Salary: $222,000–$300,000 USD annually, with potential annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define the technical and product strategy for the Learning initiative within the Self-Serve product-led growth motion.
• Lead the development of self-paced learning, hands-on labs, durable learner skill profiles, and enterprise-managed learning tools.
• Own roadmap execution and delivery for a 0→1 product scaling toward millions of learners.
• Establish engineering practices for design reviews, code quality, testing, performance, and high-scale interactive systems.
• Partner with R&D, Learning & Enablement, Marketing, and Field Engineering to align the product with learner adoption.
• Grow and lead an engineering team of approximately 12 people, planned to roughly double.

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with a strong record of technical leadership and impact.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience, including 2+ years managing other managers or clear readiness to do so.
• Staff-engineer-caliber individual contributor background with full-stack experience, including backend development.
• Experience leading teams that include frontend and full-stack engineers and scaling organizations from 10 to 30+ engineers.
• Experience building scalable, distributed, customer-facing systems, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• Experience building and scaling consumer-facing products from 0→1, with strong cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, and go-to-market functions.
