Engineering Manager (AI)

Salary: $153,000–$270,000 USD annually, depending on location zone.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop an engineering team across multiple experience levels.
• Shape a greenfield platform for financial operations and supply chain planning and execution.
• Build intelligent, automated systems that coordinate workflows, support decision-making, and reduce manual operational work.
• Define architecture, technical strategy, roadmaps, delivery plans, and engineering practices.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Compliance, Product, and Operations stakeholders.
• Ensure reliable, observable, secure, well-tested, and resilient systems while developing engineering culture and future technical leaders.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years leading or managing engineers.
• Technical leadership experience with responsibility for delivery, execution, and team health.
• Strong technical judgment across distributed systems, data-intensive applications, automation platforms, or business-critical systems.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into engineering priorities and partnering with non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering reliable, maintainable production systems and aligning engineering, product, finance, compliance, and operations teams.
• Ability to operate where business processes, regulatory requirements, and technical systems intersect.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Go, Ruby, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, React, MySQL, Snowflake, AWS, Docker, Temporal, Prefect, Datadog, or Sentry.
• Interest in agentic systems, AI-assisted automation, and business process orchestration.
