Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States of America; remote work model may apply depending on the position.

Base salary: $110,000–$145,000 per year, with potential variable pay and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, coach, and develop a team of platform engineers across multiple experience levels.
• Own the technical direction of the Operational Decisioning Platform and guide distributed, multi-account AWS architecture.
• Oversee APIs, SDKs, CLIs, developer tooling, managed services, developer portals, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Drive secure cross-account communication, multi-tenant isolation, provisioning, lifecycle automation, observability, and operational reliability.
• Partner with Architecture, Product, Identity, Solutions, and Engineering teams to define roadmaps and coordinate delivery.
• Guide AI-assisted engineering practices and the integration of LLMs, AI agents, and related services into platform components.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years at Staff through Principal level and at least 2 years in technical leadership or engineering management.
• Experience shipping, operating, and supporting production software systems and developing engineers through hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
• Strong AWS cloud-native architecture and distributed-systems expertise, including secure multi-account and multi-tenant environments.
• Experience with platform engineering, developer tooling, SDKs, infrastructure, or other foundational capabilities for engineering teams.
• Understanding of cloud identity and access management, tenant isolation, scalable shared platforms, observability, and operational practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development, coding assistants, agentic tools, LLMs, and AI-augmented platform capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, cross-account control planes, or internal developer platforms at scale.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Node, Terraform, serverless technologies, container services, managed data stores, and cloud security primitives.
• Experience building reusable APIs, SDKs, CLIs, developer portals, and shared platform services.
• Experience with provisioning automation, secure cross-account communication, trunk-based development, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and reversible releases.
• Background in energy, logistics, weather, agriculture, or other operationally complex and data-intensive industries.
