Location: Onsite in Denver, Colorado, United States; travel to other sites may be required. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required ITAR authorizations, and must be able to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance.
Base salary: $190,000–$295,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

develops autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors for U.S. and allied space-security missions.
What you will do
- Set the technical direction for spacecraft digital and mixed-signal hardware, including flight computers, payload compute platforms, and interface electronics.
- Lead, mentor, and grow an electrical engineering team across the PCB and digital systems development lifecycle.
- Oversee requirements, schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, hardware bring-up, integration, and qualification testing.
- Establish design standards, review processes, and configuration management practices for digital hardware programs.
- Manage schedules, budgets, staffing, technical risks, and delivery across multiple hardware development programs.
- Collaborate with embedded software, FPGA, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and test teams, including implementation of a hardware root of trust.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex digital and mixed-signal PCB designs for aerospace, defense, or high-reliability applications.
- Experience leading an electrical engineering team focused on digital systems design.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer.
- Experience with processor, FPGA, SoC, and SoM architectures, embedded compute platforms, and high-speed interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, SpaceWire, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, and USB.
- Expertise in signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and delivering complex hardware in resource-constrained environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with radiation effects, aerospace standards, and thermal, vibration, and EMI/EMC qualification campaigns.
- Experience designing hardware security architectures, secure boot, cryptographic key management, HSMs, TPMs, or equivalent embedded security implementations.
- Hands-on experience debugging hardware with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, current probes, and automated test equipment.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or similarly dynamic environment.
