UX Researcher (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end UX research studies, including scoping, participant recruitment, methodology selection, facilitation, and analysis.
• Frame research questions with product, design, engineering, and growth teams to address product uncertainties and business goals.
• Conduct mixed-methods research such as interviews, usability tests, surveys, field studies, and A/B testing.
• Synthesize findings into actionable insights, personas, journey maps, frameworks, and product recommendations.
• Present research findings, facilitate workshops, and advocate for the user in roadmap and product decisions.
• Collaborate with design, product, engineering, marketing, customer success, data analysts, and research peers.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain or maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance; active TS Clearance is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in UX research or a related field, with increasing scope and autonomy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Design, or a related field.
• Experience planning and executing end-to-end generative and evaluative research studies.
• Ability to influence decisions through clear insights, storytelling, and alignment with data.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or additional training in research, behavioral science, or related coursework.
• Experience with journey mapping, persona creation, insight frameworks, and research operations.
• Figma, Dovetail, UserTesting, Miro, or Lyssna proficiency.
• Experience with aerospace, geospatial technology, 3D visualization, or real-time decision tools.
• Understanding of design thinking, human-centered design, product development, and ethical research practices.
