UX Researcher (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Palo Alto, California, United States

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 per year in California, plus equity and a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research with customers and internal platform users.
• Partner with product management and design to identify research priorities aligned with roadmap needs.
• Run usability testing for new and existing platform features.
• Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights for product and design teams.
• Build and maintain a repository of research findings, personas, and user insights.
• Establish research methods, advocate for users, and track the impact of research on product decisions.

Requirements

• Experience as a UX researcher, ideally with technical, developer-facing, or infrastructure products.
• Strong grounding in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Ability to research complex technical workflows and translate them into clear insights.
• Experience partnering with product managers and designers to shape roadmap decisions.
• Excellent synthesis and communication skills, with the ability to make findings actionable.
• Self-directed approach and comfort establishing a research practice in a fast-moving environment.
