Assistant Project Manager (Facilities)

Location: On-site in Rochester, New York, United States

Salary: $65,000–$95,000 per year

What you will do

• Support planning and execution of facility renovations, infrastructure upgrades, equipment installations, space reconfigurations, and associated site work.
• Assist with construction management, architectural coordination, code-compliance activities, and design coordination.
• Coordinate contractor activities and interface with internal customers, Facilities Maintenance, Operations, vendors, and external partners.
• Support requirements gathering, estimating, scheduling updates, document preparation, construction oversight, and project close-out.
• Help identify process efficiencies, value-engineering opportunities, and cost-effective project solutions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and support capital and expense budget planning across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Foundational project management skills and the ability to collaborate with contractors, vendors, internal teams, and cross-functional partners.
• Exposure to architectural, electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems and the ability to read or interpret engineering drawings, specifications, or layouts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; exposure to AutoCAD, MS Project, or estimating software is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance if required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPA, and local building codes.
• Experience supporting Design-Build or Design-Bid-Build projects.
