Principal, Labor Advisor (Automotive)

Location: Based at the hirify.global Columbia/Blythewood, South Carolina locations with required in-office attendance, in-person meetings, events, and occasional travel.

Salary: $150,000–$181,250 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Advise senior leadership, HR, Production, Commercial, Legal, and Compliance teams on labor relations matters.
• Develop and implement reactive and proactive labor relations strategies, policies, and action plans.
• Provide labor relations expertise for operational projects, programs, and internal and external processes.
• Conduct training for employees and management on labor relations and applicable federal and state laws.
• Assess market trends and identify labor relations risks, recommending improvements to policies and procedures.
• Partner with the Chief Labor and Employment Counsel on risk mitigation and employment-related litigation strategies.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in labor relations, human resources, or an equivalent field.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining, grievance processes, contract administration and negotiation, and labor-management relationships.
• Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, NLRA, Taft-Hartley, and other major employment and labor laws.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; a master’s degree in Industrial Relations is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with public speaking across a large employee population.
