What you will do

  • Lead impartial workplace investigations into harassment, discrimination, misconduct, and policy violations.
  • Design and operationalize the investigation program, including intake channels, triage criteria, and risk rating models.
  • Analyze investigation trends to drive policy updates, control improvements, and manager training content.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance on agency charges (EEOC/CRD) and regulatory matters.
  • Serve as the primary ER advisor for managers and HRBPs on performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Provide cross-functional HR generalist support during periods of lower ER case volume.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations and workplace investigations.
  • Must be based in the US; hirify.global is unable to provide work visa sponsorship for this position.
  • Deep knowledge of federal and California employment law.
  • Proven experience conducting complex, high-risk, and sensitive confidential investigations.
  • Experience in high-growth technology, aerospace, or defense environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Employment Law (JD/MBA preferred).

Nice to have

  • Professional certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP.
  • Experience building an ER function from the ground up in a high-growth startup.
  • Background as an employment law attorney or JD degree.
  • Experience in union or labor relations and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience implementing investigation case management systems and reporting dashboards.
